Cookie Policy
Last updated: February 21, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, improve user experience, and provide information to site operators. Cookies may be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remain on your device until they expire or you delete them).
2. How We Use Cookies
Netorbus RPG ("the Game") uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the Game to function. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
3. Cookies We Use
| Cookie Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| netorbus_session (or laravel_session) | Strictly Necessary | Maintains your login session and allows you to navigate the Game while staying authenticated. | Session (expires when you close browser or after 2 hours of inactivity) |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Strictly Necessary | Protects against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. This is a security measure that prevents malicious websites from performing actions on your behalf. | Session |
| remember_web_* | Functional | If you choose "Remember Me" during login, this cookie keeps you logged in across browser sessions. | Up to 30 days |
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not set third-party advertising or analytics cookies. However, third-party services linked from the Game (such as Discord or Coinbase Commerce) may set their own cookies when you visit their sites. We have no control over those cookies — please refer to their respective cookie policies.
5. Consent (EU/EEA Users)
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent — they are essential for the Game to function. Since we only use strictly necessary cookies and one optional functional cookie ("Remember Me"), we operate as follows:
- Strictly necessary cookies (session, CSRF) are set automatically as they are required for the Game to work. No consent is needed.
- Functional cookies ("Remember Me") are only set when you explicitly opt in by checking the "Remember Me" box at login. This constitutes your consent.
We do not use cookies that require a cookie consent banner because we do not use any non-essential tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
6. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored on your device.
- Delete individual cookies or all cookies.
- Block cookies from specific or all websites.
- Set preferences for first-party vs. third-party cookies.
Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Game from functioning correctly — you will not be able to log in or maintain a session.
For instructions on managing cookies in your browser:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Since we do not track users across third-party websites and do not use tracking cookies, the Game's behavior does not change in response to DNT signals.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we change our cookie usage. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. If we begin using non-essential cookies in the future, we will implement a proper consent mechanism before doing so.
9. Contact
If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us through our Discord server or email us at support@netorbus.com.
